Series Synopsis:
-This is a human story set in a timeless landscape; we will explore life, both biological and synthetic, leading up to and following a galactic catastrophe involving an advanced accelerated physics gone wrong.
-The pilot will establish two very different world cultures of the same human family. Several generations after the global catastrophe, those humans left on Earth, thought to have been decimated, have developed into primitive, yet highly planet-conscious beings, traumatized as they are. They will continue to find hints of their true past in the items they find and or discover yet don’t understand. There are territories and there are rulers, some are more benevolent than others. When tribes find themselves at odds with others, the conflict happens to be settled in a peaceful manner. One day on planet Earth there was the toiling of children in an ancient cave ruin. Later, on a different planet, a faint communications wave emanating from artifacts in the care of ‘The Archivist’; an ancient beacon of life on a not so distant planet.
-Throughout Season One, we establish the two different world cultures without revealing they are on separate planets. After establishment and exposition of characters, there is the ‘children playing/beacon activated’ scene.
-Season Two: As a prequel to season one, we again establish The Old Planets, millennia ago. We see humans have let their technology advance beyond control. We see these humans on the verge of being able to explore every uncharted realm both physical along with mental. There is a reckless disregard for life exhibited within these episodes. Most of the action will lead up to the catastrophe and show how we got there. The end of this season will culminate in the disaster and the ultimate separation of the Human Tribe.
-Season Three: Picks up where season one ended, we see the ramifications of the discovery with regard to the Archivist and how it affects those in charge on Mars. We’ll see the subsequent cover up and investigation into possible life on Earth leading to deployment of exploration missions.
-Season Four: A combination of worlds, a clash of cultures, discoveries of ancient pasts, discovery of truths, cover-ups and a struggle for power. In this season we also discover the powers that be who are dividing the Earth Humans into factions…It is the First Figures. ‘the Gods of Babylon.”
-Season Five: There is a struggle to rediscover, understand and utilize the ancient technologies. This season will examine the technology in the hands of good and in the hands of evil. Information is the commodity in this season. We will also explore conspiracy theories regarding ‘secret societies’ and their roots in this story.
-Every episode will further explore the ongoing journey of our hero and his like-minded counterparts. Together along with characters both benign and benevolent, we see a struggle to rediscover and piece together ancient knowledge holding the key to certain absolute power, for the use of good or the use of evil.
-Shot on location with multiple cameras, the scenes will utilize many locations with intelligent dialog and true to life character establishment scenes. ‘Preservation’ should capture the human spirit, our positive and negative use of technology, and hold a mirror to the viewer to allow them to choose what side of humanity they belong.
